MEET OUR EXECUTIVE VOUNTEERS


Michele Allen, a Rochester native and devoted mother of 3 children, known as a team player and hard worker. Always willing to help out and give back to the community.

Education - Graduate of East High School and attended Monroe Community College

Career & Affiliations
Currently employed as a Staff Accountant at the University of Rochester. In 2008, became a board member of the African American Network @ the U of R and currently presides as the Events/Activities Chair. Planning committee member for A Call to Women of Color HIV/AIDS initiative since 2009. Wilmot Cancer Center Discovery Ball volunteer. STAR volunteer since 2009.




Courtney Williams Nathan, a native Rochesterian, who is a highly motivated, hard working team player who enjoys helping others.

Education:
Graduated from Wilson Magnet High School and attend SUNY Brockport College

Career and Affiliations:
Currently employed as a Customer Service Specialist at Ten Cate Enbi. Courtney has 20 years of Customer Service experience including business management, purchasing and front office management. Courtney is a member of the Black Women’s Leadership Forum and on the planning committee for A Call to Women of Color HIV/AIDS Initiative. Courtney has been an annual volunteer for the Wilmot Cancer Center Discovery Ball and a STAR volunteer since 2009.

 

 

Ronda Wade has a passion for working with the youth of today which kicked off her career with the City of Rochester in 1996 working as a Assistant Director in the summer camp program. In, 2000 she continued to further her goals by accepting a position with the Rochester City School District, as a Paraprofessional and a Teacher Assistant where she wasbemployed for 12 years. In October 2011, Ronda was offered a more challenging position with the Center for Youth. She currently holds the position as a Social Learning Specialist at the Center. Ronda is making a difference in childrens lives by working with them to make a behavior change that will allow each child to get a quality education while spending time in the Alternative to Suspension Program.

Education: Wilson Magnet High School (class of 1996). While attending Wilson I was in the Science and Technology program. After graduating high school, She went on to study at Monroe Community College where She received two Associates Degrees in Liberal Arts and Human Services. After taking courses She learned what it was that shereally wanted to do with her life. Ronda continued her education and received her Bachelors Degree at Keuka College in Criminal Justice. Ronda has recieved her Masters in Criminal Justice Leadership and Executive Management from Walden University.

Career and Affiliation: In her employment career she was employed through the Arc of Monroe as Relief, and Wegmans as a Cashier, Front-End Coordinator, Price Checker, and a Front-end Trainer. When she is not working or her head is not in books, she loves spending time with her family and giving time to others. Especially her two 6 and 17 year old boys. She is a proud mom. Ronda has been a Youth Counselor for the North Greece Road Church of Chrsit for over 18 years where she has held the roles of the E.H.R Step Team Coach, Assistant Sunday School Teacher, Educational Department Secretary and an active participant of the church Annual Ladies Day Program. She not only volunteers her time and services to the church she also volunteers her time to the community. During the school year she is one of the Coaches for the Clara Barton Bulldogs and she is a volunteer for Sisters Together Achieving Results. She doesn't feel that what she does with the youth of today rather on her job or within her community is just a job or volunteer work she believes that it is a calling from the Lord.
